I am easily amused. This comes in really handy sometimes.

Sometimes I make up games to amuse myself when I start to feel bored. This is my newest game, and since I haven't shared it with anyone until now, I look like a real nutter when I start chortling at seemingly nothing at all. But that's happened often enough now that I think more people should share in the game.

It's really simple. Take the context away from something. It can be a work of art, of literature, even holy scripture:

The day on which this took place was a Sabbath, and so the Jewish leaders said to the man, “It is the Sabbath; the law forbids you to carry your mat.”

But he replied, “The man said to me, ‘Pick up your mat and walk.’ ”

So they asked him, “Who is this fellow who told you to pick it up and walk?”

The man had no idea who it was, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd that was there.

Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, “See, stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.”

If you simply take away any references to healing here, Jesus looks like a super huge dick who tells a handicapped person to just get the fuck up, runs off before he gets called on it, then comes back and threatens him.

Granted, this isn't an original idea I had. There's this thing called Garfield Minus Garfield which is fucking amazing and makes that comic strip about a billion times funnier (and darker as well; Jon kind of creeps me out in those strips).

The only rule is that there are no rules. Edit videos, pictures, take still frames, ruin classic literature, whatever. The only thing that matters is that 1) you remove important context from something and 2) it becomes something wholly different, and hopefully either interesting or funny as a result.
