    My dad finally is reading Hawkeye and agrees it is awesome.

    Wormwood is what you don't get in US Absynthe.

    you totally do

    some US absinthes used to use wormwoods that weren't grande wormwood

    but now it's legal and most do.

    it all tastes the same anyways

    iirc, absinthe became faddish and available at about the same time that distilled liquor became low-cost enough that the general population could afford it

    so parisians who were used to drinking wine and beer instead were sucking down absinthe (100-140 proof and sometimes up) in immoderate quantities and getting really really fucked up

    also I'm not a big fennel/licorice/anisette/pastis guy, but good absinthe really does have a lot of complexity to it that makes it very enjoyable

    And I don't think Tim Allen is a bad actor. He's in a lot of bad movies. But he's not a bad actor.

    And he beat a coke charge, sure he narced on a few guys, but really, it was coke. They were probably cia in the first place.
