i mean i think in general it's probably considered useful shorthand to say you don't dig some stuff- in the sense that like, stuff you like is contrasted with stuff you don't. so like, if you're the type of person who says 'it was alright' to every movie ever then it wouldn't make sense to ask you for a movie recommendation. because it's not much of an endorsement for you to be into something when there isn't stuff that fails to do it for you, i think.
so for example if i have a tattoo idea it might feel weird to run it by you because you will think anything sounds cool i guess?
