Yeah, so we're both paying $18 in the end.
which means it's more expensive for you.

anyway the point is i went to the movies A LOT and i would spend so much money and eat so much junk.
matinee ticket: 6.25. large icee/soda: 5.50. soft pretzel bites with nacho cheese: 6.25.
and i'd spend that eighteen bucks probably... a half dozen times per week.
400 bucks a month at the movie theater by myself nbd nbd
apart from like, alcohol, maybe, since it'd be public drinking I guess
is that most people would have the same annoyed reaction I had to the idea.
I get ticket, popcorn, and Coca Cola for $18.
You get ticket for $17.
usually I got a bag of loose candy which I would eat maybe half of.
A direct comparison isn't really possible because of differing wealth standards.
he's talking about purchasing power. wages are higher in norway, so for things to 'cost the same', they have to be much more expensive in norway (like with alcohol, for instance)
I would then go to the concessions stand and get a "refill"
dont you judge me
Yeah, to be fair the State takes $16.50 of that
yeah, but we're on a very different cost level. We have more money.
the only part i'm judging you for is lying about washing out the containers
Just go see 2D.
alcohol is a special case because it's taxed so heavily
but yeah it's still something like the cost being twice as high here
Not the popcorn tub, though.
as an example
This is totally penny arcade's universal currency comparison
600, usually
which is a hundred bucks right now
yes which is about 2.9 times our minimum wage, with a beginning gas station attendant probably making very nearly our minimum wage
But it was so smooooothe
they are 60 bucks in amerikkuh
so for like, a teenager with a shit job in high school, making 3x as much as an american kid working fast food, and games only costing 1.667x as much...
p sweet deal
the interesting thing is looking at the things that don't follow the trend.
what the
this says a 16oz bottle of imported beer is $4.35!?
YOUV'E BEEN LYING TO ME ABDHYIUS
high schoolers earn a little less
when I worked I was done with high school and over 18
both of which entitle you to a bit higher pay
*marks expensive-as-fuck Norway off of possible tourist destinations*
and then i compare bergen to new york and rent is like 88% higher in nyc wah wee wah
hmmm
interesting
age and a diploma matter here in some industries
but if you got a job serving popcorn at a theater or selling hot dogs at a gas station, you'd begin at the same wage regardless of where you are in life
wank wank wank
Mostly for Abd if I am being honest.
:winky:
I have the flu. It is shit.
