the military has some problems. on top of the typical unfortunate military attitudes towards women and the whole deployment infidelity thing, the air force has a really weird streak of colorado evangelical christianity that probably isn't doing it any favors.

when i was deployed with the AF, to their credit, the "sexual harassment PSAs were fucking everywhere. to their credit, the kids i knew really did take it seriously when it came to their female wingmates.

i have no idea whether respecting women was quite such a priority when it came to ladies outside their circle tho.
