Our rules have been updated and given
their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it,
follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.

Knights of Lodis is Tactics Ogre, right
how similar/dissimilar is it from Ogre Battle proper (thinking of 64 in particular)
Yeah, though I don't see anything different.
I saw that! I don't get it!
Knight of Lodis and Let Us Cling Together are SRPGs in the vein of FF Tactics
Ogre Battle was a mix of real time and unit formation battles
As a kid, I always thought that the box art cover was a giant planet with a dragon face, and that the entire game took place inside planet dragon.
You had the levels where you would fly around and destroy its vital parts, like the brain, heart, etc.
And for the weird mechanical levels like the Egypt level or fire level, they were smaller planets that the planet dragon swallowed up.

make a d&d 4e game with ff tactics gameplay
take all of my money
I forgot how combo-heavy these games are though
I always just end up mashing one button over and over
Google+
dmc is great for this because you can just pull the triggers randomly while mashing one button and do cool things without thinking!
Holy shit finally.
...Kinda don't want to give them my money anymore.
The trigger system for switching weapons is so fucking cool
Google+
the combo system is so nice and free flowing
i never ended up memorizing specific combo strings. i might have picked up certain transitions as muscle memory from doing them often but most of the time my combos were just lots of "okay know what i haven't used this in a bit, let's switch to that then i'll use this and then jump up and use this" and it would all combo and look awesome and feel awesome
dmc is great
I don't know the answer, but it may have something to do with the fact that today they launched a new thing where you have to pay for some of the channels on the site
don't play The Answer

DMC being so good is one of those times when I'm glad I was wrong, because boy howdy was I leary of Ninja Theory.
I even like new Dante, not better than old Dante but he's pretty great.
