    Antec is wildly inconsistent in quality. Seasonic I hear good things. The problem with the PSU advice is that PSU reviews are uniformly awful. What you want is a site which will tear them down and provide informed analysis of their electrical design and safety features.

    I don't know about how they were ten years ago but since I started building computers I've noticed that people repeat that line about Antec and there's never any evidence backing it up. Hell, some Antec power supplies are made by Seasonic.

    That's the issue basically: Antec rebrand their PSUs. So you never know what you're actually getting other then hoping Antec do a good job on their quality control, which over the years has been up and down for different people.

    But that's my point about reviews: there's not enough "today we're taking apart the <X>" or really hardcore load testing.

    My issue is that every time this comes up it's all hearsay.

    Ok but it's pretty easy to find heresay. Antec is not all made by Seasonic. The information I can see is they used to have some made by a company called ChannelWall which seems to be the origin of the bad press. The thing is PSUs are subjective like that: you only have 1, and it may not fail at all. I had off-brand chinese units for years with no problems - doesn't mean they're a good choice, I may just be lucky.

    My biggest issue with power supplies in the past has been the fans failing strangely. Never had them fail in any way other than cooking due to poor/no ventilation.

    I will say in ballistic (or boomerang) combat, armor and cover become a lot more important in mitigating damage, since holy shit guns are pretty god damn lethal (as they should be).

    Captain Boomerang himself got taken down in one shot by the team sniper as soon as she had a clear shot and could target an unarmored area (his kneecap, as fate would have it). He was still conscious and trying to attack when one of the other PCs tackled him and zip-tied him.

    All in all combat went a lot more "X-Com" than "D&D", which I very much preferred.

    yeah probably, I haven't yet done a playtest of dudes versus a legit metahuman as opposed to a jerk-ass with trick boomerangs though, so I wanted to test something like that first to make sure the thing holds up.

    It should go without saying everyone needs love. How you go about acquiring it is key.

    I've struggled with the notion of needing someone else in my life and have ultimately concluded that I'm vastly more likely to succeed if I myself succeed on my own first in what it is I want to do, and what I'm passionate about. Things have been getting better since that realization.
