I wonder how UK people feel when they hear American versions of things. Like calling the hair on your forehead "bangs" instead of "fringe." Do they think, "typical Americans, making everything about sex. How vulgar!"?

I spose Obama could pull a Bartlett on Syria like in that clip

only it would be a lot more than 7000 troops because Damascus ain't gonna crack that easy

And a lot of the rebels are hardcore islamists so we'll be fighting both sides

Gatsby was sold out, so my friend and I decided we wanted ice cream/froyo. Yougurtland and Purity Ice Cream both closed at 10, and we just missed it. So she does a search on her phone and discovers "Yogurt Crazy," which is in collegetown. I hate driving in collegetown because it's a freakin mess with people everywhere and there's no parking. Anyway, we find a parking space and Yogurt Crazy. We see all the awesome restaurants and bars and shops around that we've never been to. I really wish Cornell boy hadn't broken up with me because I would have loved to spend more time around there! Now we're graduating in a week and I won't have the chance!

I wonder if Outbound Flight is as good as the Hand of Thrawn trilogy.

    It isn't.

Better than most EU dreggs, but not up to Thrawn.

    nuuuuuuu

I bought two copies (because I lost my first copy and then later found it again). This is not what I want to hear.

Thrawn is a high bar to clear.

This is definitely true. Fuck, maybe I'll buy the trilogy and read that. Wait I also bought the complete trilogy and stowed them away.

Shit, do you know the number of books and Blu-Rays that I found last week when I was going through my old stuff? It reminded me that there were 3 years of my life where I literally did nothing but wake up, go to work for 8 hrs, come home and raid in WoW, then go to sleep. My free days were spent buying books and movies with my $19k/yr fatty Walgreens checks.

Oh gof all these things are artifacts of my misspent youth.

Given the correlation that his legislative success had with congressional majorities, I think there's a good reason to be extremely skeptical of that claim.

I'm getting sick of even sensible types on television sticking to their guns about both sides being the same re: partisanship

Colbert's "see democrats believe whatever stupid shit they're told too"

Yeah? Which party tells their constituents the other party is a socialist commie nazi who has grandma execution panels? Or that a gun registry is the path to taking their guns?

People changing their opinions on Gitmo isn't entirely unreasonable given exactly how fucked up everything became in the economy after the initial poll, it wasn't exactly a priority, meanwhile republicans deciding against the more energy efficient lights if they say "save the environment" on them is just plain retard programming
