Wow. There was a fucking heated argument about the hydrogen economy at lunch.

    NERDS

Was it about how many bitcoins a full tank would cost?

It was about the world supply of platinum and how much you need to usefully produce hydrogen from electrolysis.

One side of the table insisted that there is not enough so hydrogen fuel cells are a big waste of time. Several people on that table have worked in the fuel cell industry.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) on Thursday vetoed a bill backed by Democrats that would have allowed voters to submit ballots at polling places during a 15-day period prior to Election Day, the Star-Ledger reported.

Calling the proposed changes "hasty, counterproductive and less reliable" than the status quo, Christie said the bill would cost the state $23 million up front and $2 million annually.

His veto angered Democrats, who sought to make changes to the state's voting laws after Hurricane Sandy damaged many New Jersey polling locations and hindered the ability of voters in the state just days before last year's election.
Two million dollars sounds worth it for ensuring a well functioning democracy.

How the hell does it cost $25 million to set up a skeleton staff at election polls to collect early ballots for a peanut state like New Jersey? Someone is pocketing $24.5 million.

We don't have much atomic hydrogen (because it's a reactive little fucker), so you need to make it. The question (which people have strong opinions about) is whether making it is worthwhile.

    I thought addictions were physical<—>psychological

heroine and nicotine cause physical addictions where you actually have physical withdrawal symptoms from them

weed has less of that, but there's a psychological good mood with it and bad mood without it kind of deal

I guess you could call either of those ranges chemical addictions, because chemicals are involved somewhere on the body's end
