just a shame about that AMC Prisoner mini, they should've picked someone with presence

my number one choice for Number Six (heh) would've been Christopher Eccleston

after that, partly for laughs and partly because I think he could actually perform the rages of McGoohan, Nic Cage

Oh my god, Eccelston would be perfect for it. But we can keep Ian McKellan as Number 2.

Though as disappointing as the mini series was, the constant use of Brian Wilson on the soundtrack was pretty inspired wackiness.

Simba makes a lot of sense though.

Cast out of his kingdom, learns a thing or two from the little people, brought back by an emissary from his kingdom who he had a childhood crush on

Yeah... But I think Hercules works better for what Thor accomplishes via his power-set.

So while Simba does fit from a narrative stand-point I feel Hercules is a better fit all around.

does TMNT still have a big following? I mean I loved them as a kid and will therefore always have a certain level of interest in reboots or whatever, but I didn't think that franchise was still pulling much weight.

Its still a multi million dollarvfranchise yeah. The last movie didnt do so hot but that was more because it wasnt advertised well. Or used the full name

As would I, but in the instance that we have put him as Skar, I think Simba is a better choice.

Yeah, I think I'm going to stop fan-casting for awhile.

Yeah, the trailers really didn't sell it at all.

I went into it just going "Fuck it, I'm gonna see if it's as bad as it looks."

Which turned into "Oh hey, this is actually pretty watchable."

In the comic it was reciting Moby Dick, wasn't it? That was a cute little Easter egg that I really liked.

Not today but a big budget movie could get poeple interested in the franchise again.

I work at a junior high school and the 13 year-olds there still know all about TMNT.

I'd say it is still active in the sphere of pop culture.

Having a coherent plot is what it missed. The main star was fine.

my son and I were catching up on this, and while I still really like the show...man it just looks really shitty. All the animation is just really cheap looking, and they apparently all live in a ghost city of New York that no one lives in but the turtles, the kraang, and the foot clan. They are constantly fighting and driving through endless empty streets, it's really silly.

it makes it feel like they're all toys fighting through a playset or something.
