Played with the Neverwinter foundry. I see a lot of stuff you can do with it. The map creation is simple. And really excited to see more of what people with more patience and time will do with it. I made a short quest in an house with a multiple branching tree for talking, some encounters and a final boss. So that is pretty cool.

No, actually I'm pretty serious. Watches are outdated technology. Yes, I understand they are fashion. You know what is also fashion? A bracelet that doesn't have a piece of Victorian technology shoehorned into it.

Unlike Mass Effect, where your dialogue choices give you paragon/renegade score and shit and determine who your character is, your dialogue choices only have an effect on how the people who can hear them perceive you. Who you are is determined by your actions. So you can act differently around different characters and not have it be out of character for how you see your guy, you're just trying to get them to like or not like you. Also you only have a limited time to make your choices which forces the conversations to flow properly.

You can avoid at least one fight by bluffing your way into a compound.

It has many, mutually exclusive endings. Not "oh, this is the good ending", but rather, "and in this story this happened and that guy did a bad thing." It's far from perfect and there's a bunch of really transparently generic dialogue in some areas. On the other hand, it has a wonderfully crazy man who ... well, I won't spoil it. He's awesome though, and you'll know him when you meet him.

I'm not a huge fan of the framing device (because said framing device annoys me), but it would have been difficult to branch the story without it.

When I described the end of my game to other players, they went "what? That's not what happened in mine".

I am basically the same, but like, I dunno, it works really well for me. Yeah, avoid stuff like parents divorce 3 minutes into meeting them but, I always found a great way to become friends with people is just to act like you've been friends with them forever. It works for me at least.

I can't count the number of times I have been in a class or something joking around with someone, and a third party asks "Man, how long have you guys known each other? High school?" based on how familiar we are acting. And I am like, "No dude, we met a month ago when the semester started."

I can't really behave any other way around people though, it's just how I work. I mean, I took a one semester Japanese class before I left for Japan and got pretty tight with a group of people in that class, we would go out for food after most classes, we even took a few long trips down to korea town and little tokyo, hung out at their houses a few times, shared hopes and dreams and swapped sordid stories about our love lifes.

I just think people are incredibly interesting and fascinating and want to know all about them when I meet them.
