    Uh.

I personally would love to read your paper on Julian the Apostate.

    ten dollah!

    Ooh this is awkward.

I know I said earlier that I'd pay you if I had something that fit your skillsets, but....

yeah I see how it is

Let's take a minute to look at the good news:

I took the time to write back with a politely-worded missive thanking you for your interest in our position as our official biographer of the Roman Emperor Julian, and while we ultimately chose to go with someone else, we'll definitely keep you on file in case we have any need for future undergraduate papers on Greek-speaking heads of state.

    he was p cool emperor

He was! I read him in Greek class.

Let's see if this will be a reward for how hard I'm working at the track or punishment for being such a fat loser who should really work harder.

Some sales on pawn stars have been confirmed to be fake. Like, they owner knows they had something rare and they only pretended to sell it on the show for some low price but actually ownership of the item never changed hands.

What you think "makes sense" has nothing to do with reality. It just has to do with your life experience. And your life experience may only be a small smidgen of reality. Possibly even a distorted account of reality at that. So what this means is that, beginning in the 20th century as our means of decoding nature became more and more powerful, we started realizing our common sense is no longer a tool to pass judgment on whether or not a scientific theory is correct. - Neil Degrasse Tyson

I had my last class as an undergraduate student today. Only two finals remain until I join the ranks of the top 30% of Americans with a bachelor's degree.

    Top 30.4%

And, interestingly, ever since 2005 literally most Asians have a baccalaureate or higher. [ cite ]

Freaks me out that 12% of Americans don't finish high school. I know that number has decreased hugely over the years and that's a huge accomplishment, but like, one in 8.5 people you might meet didn't finish high school. Seems like a lot.

    THANKS OBAMA.

I don't know how I feel about VICE.

On the one hand, kids are getting their international social justice fix.

On the other hand... the guy they sent in to do a story on the gang violence in Karachi had an absolutely atrocious Urdu accent, and it makes me question how legit basically all their reporters are.
