i'm fine, one of my buddies broke his leg in two places and i had to take him to the hospital
then i had to spend all monday getting insurance sorted out so i could drive his car home for him and get all the stuff he needed for the hospital

fear is fine as long as you let go of it as soon as you sit down at that desk.
My Dad's advice was great and I followed it to get better at exams: treat exams like a chess game or something Zen. You sit at that desk and it's just you and the paper; no fear, no worry, no anxiety - you can do all that later if you must. And after the exam just forget about it - nowt you can do about it anyway.
