I haven't played that character since then either. I don't know how much time I'll have to play tonight, I think my family is taking my mom out for a slightly early mother's day. If you guys are on when I get back, I'd be up to run something with you all.

I'm at a friend's place so I can't play for most of today. Instead I am pretending to be a boy for the next while :P

That and stealing their food. Double ninja.

I am curious as to what steps I have padded the act of pirating a game. If anything, I feel like I kind of simplified it, because I left out the tedious task of reading forums to find out why X patch didn't work on Y download, and finding out you needed to get the 1.02 version of the executable and swap the dll file from Z folder, and all of that bullshit hell that almost always occurs with choosing not to pay money for your funtimes.

    Are you from the 90's?

I just looked at a patch to update a popular new game on one of the go-to sites.

It involved unpacking the download, manually replacing contents in specific folders in the game directory, using your local firewall to block specific applications and ports... And it also has a 10 page discussion going on on how it doesn't work, with people telling them, they need to manually walk through all of the updates and cracks before doing the most recent one.

Seriously, by that point I could have paid 30-40 bucks, and been playing the game and saved myself some money cause I could just do some work for a client instead of wasting my own time stealing from someone else.

Hmmm. I have been thinking about getting a new computer. I want a gaming computer / graphics computer. Does Best Buy have any that are decent?

Also, I have gotten to the point in my life where I no longer will sit on new egg and price out bunches of shit and put it all together. Weird, I know. Can anyone help me out? I think SOTAR was the one who showed me my laptop which I have used amazingly for the past three years but it is starting to overheat constantly and go kaputt.

Don't get one from Best Buy.

Now, the usual disclaimer: you can get better stuff for less money building it yourself blah blah blah.

So, to answer your question: Dell ain't bad if you want a prebuilt machine and a warranty and such. They offer student discounts as well.

There is a section in Newegg for prebuilt systems too.

also see if there is any stuff you can salvage from your current rig like monitors.
    Thanks!

reading about NORMASH veterans going back and visiting the korean monument to NORMASH.

It's not a very interesting story but it is a charming one. Veterans noted that the monument meant more because the koreans were the ones who got the idea and paid for it in the first place. Also some reuniting between norwegians and some of the koreans who worked at NORMASH with them.

Fixed the fan in my bathroom (I guess it was gunked up with dust or something..)
Shredded about 10 months of mail that has collected in shoe boxes.
    Cleaned the fridge
    Did dishes
Filled a bag full of non-perishable food items for the mail man (I don't know if it's a national thing, but they left a brown paper sack in my mailbox yesterday with instructions to fill it up for local charities)
Since it's wet as hell outside, I had to laminate the bottom of the bag with aluminum foil.

the SSD is just for being your system drive and installing critical applications on. Most stuff gets installed on the 1TB drive.
What you think "makes sense" has nothing to do with reality. It just has to do with your life experience. And your life experience may only be a small smidgen of reality. Possibly even a distorted account of reality at that. So what this means is that, beginning in the 20th century as our means of decoding nature became more and more powerful, we started realizing our common sense is no longer a tool to pass judgment on whether or not a scientific theory is correct. - Neil Degrasse Tyson

you're also old and you can actually make 30-40 bucks in the time it takes to do this.

but anyway for most games, it's download install crack run bam.

and not all games are on the convenient platforms either, so some exception doesn't count.

Weirdly the thing that's made me think about it the most is that pdfs make the ereader I inherited from Cesca juuuust slow enough to be annoying.

So I'm kind of thinking of it as a colour ereader that I might use for other things, if/when I have the cash to pick one up.
