Arent you confusing that game with Guacameele ?

Guacamelee is only on PS3, isn't it?

Well, and the Vita. I myself own neither, so Guacamelee is a game that I can't partake in.

If it follows trends, it'll be on the PC soon enough

I'd like that. I enjoy any Metroid-vania. Especially since Metroid rarely gets made now.

The original La Mulana is free if you want to try it out. The gameplay is pretty much the same.

I have a 25% off coupon for Anodyne and a 50% off coupon for 10,000,000.
Anybody who wants them can just go ahead and PM me.

Also I have a copy of the first Poker Night at the Inventory to give away, first come first served via PM.

You know what's awesome? Being out on a ship and Steam losing your login information so now you can't access offline mode and can't play the games you paid for. Valve still hasn't fixed this and after this long I'm pretty sure it's an intentional "feature." I'm gonna submit another support ticket but if nothing gets done then it's safe to say that Steam will have officially crossed the douchebag line for me.

I just got back into XCOM last night after the talk about it here. Man I forgot how fun this game is.

I also found some nice mods for better looking graphics on the XCOM Nexus, which is nice.

So, after seeing Proteus and thinking that I wants it, it also got me thinking--is there anything like Afrika or Pokemon Snap on Steam? I never got a chance to play Afrika, but I am totally in the mood right now for an exploration game with a solid camera mechanic.

@Incindium and @Darkewolfe* both PM'd me at pretty much the exact same moment so they can both have a copy of Poker Night.
This isn't generousity, I'm trying to ruin lives by feeding gambling addictions. I'm a horrible person and I should be stopped.

Funny story (no it isn't) my friend was looking over my shoulder when I opened Darkewolfe's PM and he said "What's a darkywolf?".

Just a reminder that this is wrapping up tomorrow. I'm enjoying the factoids, too.
I just remembered I have an extra copy of Civ 5 lying around so I thought I would offer it to the PA Group members.

Yeah thanks @Dyvim Tvar, I love me some poker. For a couple years there it was the only game I consistently played. Last time I went to the casino I landed a 4 way even split of the daily poker tournament.

I forgot all about Afrika, I should pick that up. As for something similar on the pc, idon;t think there is. Miasmata is supposed to be like that but imo, doesn't pull off that same relaxation type gameplay. I tend to just hop into Just Cause 2 or an open world game like gta IV, SR3 or an of the bethesda games. Its a shame there aren't more open world exploration games out there.

So has anyone tried Proteus? I know it isn't the typical gaming experience, my interest is if it is actually "calming" as I sort of understand it to be. Bring it up know a laptop in bed and just unwind before sleep sort of experience, will Proteus serve?

I give up. I'm not sure what part of "you don't need to give me things for my birthday" you guys don't get. But rest assured, I'm taking notes. Revenge is a dish best served cold, they say. Not being a fan of very many cold dishes, I can't really say if that's true. Nonetheless, there will be retribution. Not today, perhaps. But sooner or later... you have to sleep sometime.

Thanks to @Banzai5150 for Renegade Ops, which looks like a crazy amount of asploding mayhem. Blowing shit up never gets old. :)

Also, I'm ending the Dishonored contest now. I'll be doing a candle tally shortly and submitting the whole mess into the hands of the RNG gods. And then we watch somebody get Dishonored! Bring popcorn!

Deep down this is the reason for 90% of my gifts.

'oh, game X is on sale and has co-op? That's a 4 pack'

Renegade Ops was one I got a 4 pack of. I then had to carry some terrible teammates. Next time I must hand pick better.

If anyone's thinking of learning guitar, I can't recommend www.guitarbackingtracks.com highly enough. It's one of the most enjoyable websites. Basically some dudes got together and recorded the drums, bass and rhythm (if necessary) but left the leave guitar out. So you can play along and feel like you're in a real band! It's guitar hero for real guitars.

Just gonna say that Proteus is pretty fantastic if you want to wander around looking at gorgeous sights and listening to wonderful sounds. It's one of the best games-as-art things around. I love that it's built as a purely subjective experience too. Thirty Flights and Dear Esther do what they do very well, but Proteus is more about the players personal experience than the experience as delivered.

Also, screenshots don't do the game justice at all, and I suggest trying to make a decision on the game by watching as little video as possible. There are so many cool little surprises that are at their best when experienced fresh.
