as tempting as it is to jump on these new consoles i may wait a little, not so much for a price drop as that could take ages but mostly for a game i really want to play to come out

i'm also waiting for clues as to who is going to be the front runner this time

i don't want to back the losing horse that doesn't get the good exclusives

People who would know these things seem to think that there will be the major return of the 3rd party exclusive.

But honestly Im incredibly curious to see that the next xbox is since MS has been quiet to a fault and there have only been more and more rumors about it.

I also think I'm going to balk at the price tag on these things. I would be astonished if it costs $450. I'm going to place a bet that it'll hit store shelves in the UK at something like £500 for a console bundle with an extra pad and a couple of starter titles.

Which on the face of it, looking at the hardware in the machine probably isn't far off the mark. That said for a person like me where this won't be my primary gaming machine (PC gaming master race 4lyf yo) it's a hell of a chunk of change to drop on a back up toy for when my internet is down or my PC is broke.

My mind is already going through the badass video cards and processors I could buy for £500.

I think it is allright. I don't hate the design of it. If it is a good pricepoint it has a chance.

in fact since i already have a case, hard drives and a PSU I could essentially give myself a very respectable new gaming rig for £500

That ain't a bad budget to have for a video card, processor and Mobo.

Like when I was 14-16 the price of a console was totally out of my reach.

At 18-21 I could get it out of my uni overdraft and not eat for a while.

At 26 it's like I could buy a new PS3 every single week of the year.

    even if it was $599?
    yes.

There isn't much anyone can do to help except get stung themselves really in that situation you either have a way out or you don't. Like I guess they could get some hairspray and a lighter?

Shoes acquired from road-side stall for £3. They, surprisingly, still had paper stuffing and some packing tape stuck to them, whereas its neighbours on the table of the same make looked worn and second-hand. I do wonder which truck they fell off.
