I love the title of gangboss. I don't even know what a gangboss does when it comes to movies, I just love the name.

I came to this same realization during the credits to this movie

I really wish the big cool holy shit moment of Iron Man 3 hadn't been prominently featured in the last trailer

What was the big cool holy shit moment?
All of Tony's Iron Man suits flying into battle.

I like in PG-13 movies when people get shot. Suspension of disbelief workout there.

If you want to sit through the credits, even just to watch the credits, that's fine. Acting like people are FOOLS for not realizing there's a snippet of content at the end of them is silly. People are aware of post-credit clips by now, and they'd just rather leave and watch them on Netflix or whatever. Or maybe they don't care at all?

    For most showings, sure

But people taking time to go to a midnight showing and then leaving before the post-credits scene?

That shows too high a level of caring to show that much apathy toward the stinger

    It's weird

    Yeah, that part where
Pepper falls into that fire, at first I'm like "NOOOO"

But then I thought "wait, she got pumped full of drugs that let people melt fucking steel beams and she's going to die in a fire?"

And then yeeeeep in come Pepper for the rescue. WOO.

Speaking of the credits, the entire team of VFX people took up the whole screen for about 5 seconds. Dang. We really should be crediting VFX houses and artists more.

Pretty sure that was just one studio too!

Yeah, haha, it just took up the entire screen for a moment there.

    That was fantastic.

    Fire cannot kill a Dragon.

I like to believe that those dragon tattoos the main bad guy had at the end were a side effect of the extremis
And the people that exploded were just not rad enough to be a dragonborn

That reminds me of one of the first eps of Conan the Adventurer, the animated series from the 90s.

Conan's got this little baby phoenix sidekick that can hide inside of solid objects like walls and stuff. At one point it's hiding inside the cork of a bottle or something that ends up getting tossed into a bonfire and Conan gets seriously bummed about losing his buddy.

Later on he's telling a friend about it, and his friend's all "What happened to him?"

    "He fell into a fire."

    "pfffhahaha"

    "YOu dare laugh?!"

"You don't know shit about Phoenixes, do you"

I just made my eyes unfocus while staring at the wall of names because it looked cool.

And the moment I wish I hadn't been spoiled on, aside from the obvious was (Real Spoiler, unless you have seen everything they released before the movie and even then, just don't look at this)
Tony attaching the armor to Pepper during the attack on his house. Looked amazing and I just love that he leaves himself completely vulnerable to protect her.

My favorite moment in the entire movie
When the quiet blonde kid asks Tony, "How did you survive the wormhole?"

    I thought at first
That was just Tony's subconscious coming to the surface. It sounded creepy.

The "I loved you in A Christmas Story" got a big laugh out of my theater. It was a good joke, wouldn't be surprised if it was ad-libbed.

I love how at the end
There's gotta be thirty iron man suits flying around, and Rhodes doesn't even get ONE.

Tony is such an ass. :P

    Question regarding Iron Man 3:
Has Tony retired from being Iron Man? If he has would that mean no role or a diminished role in Avengers 2?

@dspimoni that's a pretty major plot point to spoil on the first page of the thread, you should probably go back and put it in spoiler tags

I don't think we're meant to believe he has quit being Iron Man, at least not for good.

Ever since the ending of the first film, in a lot of ways, he's basically been a child with the world's coolest toy.

He's just grown up a little and is willing to stop defining himself with it.

I think having the battery finally removed is showing us that he's okay with just being Tony.

I think you are giving people too much credit.

Everyone out side of my circle of friends is routinely astonished whenever I inform them there was a stinger at the end of such and such movie.

I loved that bit. They did such a great job of misdirecting on that, and they set us up for the move at the end where he blows up #42

Did you miss "Tony Stark Will Return" after the stinger? Big ol' white block letters.

    Followed by "Walt Disney, Inc."

My first time seeing the line "Hulk? Smash" was when I saw Avengers.

Given that this was one of my most favorite moments of the entire film, I would say it is wise to avoid most trailers for a movie you are already pumped to go see.

Reminded me of classic James Bond.

Because 9% think it's too high, and shouldn't be cut! 9% of respondents could not fully
get their arms around the question. There should be another box you can check for, "I
