but then we'd be giving money to turrorists
it's amazing how many people out there would rather spend 10x the money hurting people than helping them, because the latter violates some perverse sense of justice.
It's a horrendous waste of money that could never possibly justify its cost in combat.
But but but VTOL swivel wings! It's the coolest toy ever. The fact that a bunch of people have died making it only proves just how cool it is.
Right now we have to build rovers with small sets of tools to do very specific things. If we can just pop a guy down there he can find out all kinds of stuff.
marines are just dying to get a ride in an osprey
just having the technology is far, far from enough.
just how red is this dirt, anyway
really?
like what?
what did a moon landing do for humanity that, say, 300 hoover dams wouldn't?
Well that method seems to rely on changing the very way human beings think of themselves and others which seems as implausible as space mining right now to me so...yay? If we all gathered in one spot and farted at the same time we could probably kill ourselves too.

You lose.
Gave us a video of Buzz Aldrin punching the shit out of a guy?
China made 300 hoover dams and it turned out pretty terribly.
Yeah @Cinders that, plus increased fat and like whole new places for fat means I expected at least a little increase, not a .... decrease.
It's just a failure to address problems upstream, because they're nebulous you get attacked for "spending money on brown people that we need right here in the USA." The West's inability to address problems upstream is basically the marshmallowey center of the entire War on Terror.*
*There's a lot more to it, obviously, but strictly in terms of things the U.S. has control over, this is pretty much it.
conspiracy theories.
also do you even have places to build 300 hoover dams and why haven't you done so like half a century ago already, then?
hydroelectric power be making the mad greens, yo
So?
lift weights instead
Be sure to use the cold tap when pissing in
the sink, as hot water encourages the urea in
your piss to become a foul-smelling vapour.
Just sayin
say your piece about space
don't sit there hiding
Charge only did this for a limited run of one bike, mostly because EADS has the facility and downtime in which to use it for customer jobs as opposed to their own manufacturing.
The economics of it actually work out fairly reasonably for manufacturing in titanium. The dropouts of a bike frame are basically the only parts that aren't fundamentally a manipulated tube, and machining Ti is a complete pig and wastes a hell of a lot of material (as pointed out in the video).
They sold the frames for a list price of £2,000, which is about par for a high-ish end Ti frame.
Of course the beast slider is set to maximum by default.
Yeah 21st.
Be a Man.
I don't want to buy equipment.
i swear, next time someone tells me to "lift weights instead", i'll just quit fitness and buy me a big tub of ice cream and eat it in one sitting.

The price to enter that room is extortionate.
Sadly, the alternative is my continuing descent into becoming a scrawny weakling.
Nice heteronormativity, bro.

I am going to hold onto that fact. My latest mishap with the washing machine served as a reminder that I should be ready for the breakdown of anything in my apartment, and the breakdown of any part of the apartment, and the breakdown of infrastructure in the city the apartment is in all the way to the breakdown of society.
I'm mostly covered though since I've got canned food, a leatherman, and duct tape.
