So annoyed my mom left the crazy dog with me.

Yes leave the dog with separation anxiety and a whole other host of issues when you leave for a week. That is a brilliant idea.

Because this dog doesn't freak out when you are late coming home, never, ever.

    Ugh.

You're looking at it all wrong. This is your chance to become the dog's new favorite person.

Who was there when she abandoned you? Who brought you for walks and fed you an entire pizza? That's right, forget her face.

I am number 2 on this dog's list.

This dog doesn't care because she is psychotic.

She actually is on prozac when it thunders because her mental breakdowns are that large.

The reason my mom didn't take her is because she felt the engine scared this dog too much.

She is currently on my bed whining because my mother is not home and it is past 10:00 pm.

And her non-prozac calming stuff seems to have disappeared in the move or put somewhere I don't know which is going to make a week of thunderstorms and window cleaners fun.

Basically when I go to bed she will scratch the shit out of me and I will get 0 sleep.

On the other hand the scotty is asleep and perfectly content with the rest of the dogs and family gone.

Forgot to add of the 5 dogs my parents took 3 with them.

The show will go on hiatus I think

Full Metal Alchemist. Rather than do filler, they'll make up a bunch of horribly stupid shit and end the TV show with the power of love and sacrifice reuniting Westeros. Then they'll go back and remake the whole thing when the books are done shortly after.

But the first season or two is compressed into a few episodes so we can get to the good parts.

Wow, the Game of Thrones show is really being more explicit about some of the mysterious elements of the plot than the books were

And they're bending the story to do it

Yeah, they are. Everyone's motivations are getting spelled out explicitly. It's alright, the books got p confusing and if shot as written would have probably lost a lot of the audience.

"Do you know who I am, where we are, and why I'm torturing you?"

    "No, please remind me."

This is literally an exchange from tonight's episode.

    To be fair:
That entire conversation was lies to add a psychological element to the torture. That little sociopath is Roose Bolton's illegitimate son. I honestly cannot remember if the show ever introduced him properly but it's not a secret.

    I know.

The whole thing felt like a meta way to fuck with the audience. Without getting spoilery... some weird shit has just happened to CHARACTER, and just when the audience thinks it's gonna get a definitive answer as to just wtf is going on -- they are literally a "captive audience" given the position CHARACTER is in -- the rug is pulled out from the explanation they got five seconds ago. I appreciate that interpretation because I'm a foppish dandy, but I can imagine casual viewers who just want something entertaining to watch going
    59Vt6.gif

EDIT: In retrospect, this was more spoilery than I intended. Bad on me.

I've noted a corresponding tendency for US pension funds to be more subject to self-serving moral panics - think grandiose "we should signify our support for cause X by diverting funds to it" internal moves, rather than arms-length professional fund management. So it would intuitively make sense if organized crime found this gullibility useful.

Well, they are subject to the fiduciary requirements under ERISA, so since 1974 they have been administered better, but yes, they do have a tendency to make investments which they broadly regard as being in the union's interest, and their investment in asset classes like real estate (not real estate funds, but actual properties) is and was particularly ripe for corruption.

I sent InMethod support (the AirVideo developer) an email describing my situation and router/server setup. They said I need to figure out how to forward the specific port I chose on my modem. Need to get on the horn with Comcast about that tomorrow. If I can, then my issues with not being able to access my (video) media remotely will be completely solved, and I have you to thank for turning me onto AirVideo!

Though I really wish it worked with MP3s, or that there was some other app/program that did the same thing for them.

Aha, you have a modem that acts as a router plus an additional router. Double NAT. Networking is the worst. There are a few things you can do. You need to either get your modem in bridge mode, turn off DHCP on your router and let your router act as a simple wireless bridge, or configure your modem to put your router's IP in its DMZ.

No idea which is the easiest for you, it all depends on specific equipment. If the above sounded like CSI technobabble, just hire someone. It'll take 10 minutes and everything will work better. Getting Comcast to fix it is a non-starter. They will just run through phone scripts over and over and try to get you to rent more equipment from them.
