Our rules have been updated and given
their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it,
follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.

That's what I meant. They're not trying to give you the whole picture. They're trying to stir up outrage.
Someone get this man a medal.
Its in Alabama so...

game of thrones wiki, as in, the show. Not the ASoIaF wiki.
sounds like an air rifle to me
fucking savages

Because they charge a big premium for their stuff (though its more like $200 than $500)? There are other options out there for people who don't want to build.
That's usually the sign of them being shot with a shotgun at a distance.
oh my god yes

Hrm. I'd actually buy the game if it had this, despite my promises not to. But it probably won't because the backlash would be insane.
i think they'd be cool dude
You're paying $200-300 extra for that case. If you buy a big brutal case, that would also be $200-300.
But the 200R is the best option.

But his question was what the difference would be between buying something pre-built and building it himself?
Yeah, pretty much. The boutique builders also like to water cool everything even if the specs don't really warrant it. That's where the other big portion of the premium comes in compared to people who just throw together a parts list and go "lol alienware".
Right. Just saying there are other builders with a much smaller premium since they don't use giant custom cases.
I haven't read any books. The game of thrones wiki is for the show only.
You'd have to spend a shit ton on marketing. I mean there are already companies that do what you propose and they haven't run anyone out of business.
These guys pretty much beat you to it. Their premium is about $50-$100 on mid-range builds.
granted it's basically the same thing as the corsair case
I haven't had any issues with mine.
yeah if i can get what i want at $50-$100 premium it's really a no-brainer for me
thanks everyone for the input!
I have a small room. I don't have the space for a suitcase sized monster.
I'd pay a lot for a case half the size, or more cube shaped. While still having a powerful machine.
You can get plenty of small components to fit in a small case. The only hurdle you run into is the video card. Half-height cards are always cheaper and slower. You won't get a 60fps Crysis 3 machine with a slim card.
Yup I have an antec for my work PC, but am using the corsairs for new builds almost entirely here.
The time I've spent cleaning shitware off the PC is paying for the time it takes me to assemble one (and then some). We've saved enough on 4 PCs we were able to build 8 with the same price. So the whole front office staff gets new PCs when we move our office.
Eventually your markup will creep up and hardware quality will creep down and warranty terms will get less and less charitable until you are actually worse than dell.
Or at least this is the story I've seen with every mom and pop system builder shop that thinks they can run the industry out of business.
I need to donate sperm
Sure, which is why I said "if ever possible", as I acknowledge it doesn't seem possible right.
Hunters especially lust after pistols, which are almost impossible to legally own, let alone take off the range to use in the field.
haha
i had no idea how large my case was when i bought it
i just thought it looked cool, it's a nice case but it is comically large

Mine too, and it's all empty space because I installed two SSDs, no optical drives, and one PCI card (just video). I wish I had modified a tiny case.
the computer i had before that was a Dell desktop i got in 2002
im thinking it's about time for a new desktop
Oh god this is going to go so bad and fuck so much up. All this effort and money he's trying to save is just going to be wasted when he has to tear up the drywall and tear down the wall itself and then fix the floor, and then, rebuild it anyways.
Do it right the first time, oh my god.
