    My high school had a Jacket and tie requirement but no uniform. You could get detention for having a shirt tail untucked in the hallway.

    Heavy, uncomfortable, freezing cold when it's windy, swelteringly hot when it's sunny, and smell when it rains.

    There is basically no confluence of climactic conditions for which they are suitable.
