    Also, that's 87% by the time she's 70.

Since she's (to the best of my knowledge) otherwise healthy and has basically unlimited resources for medical care...there is a good chance she'll live a decade or more past that.

Unless she dies from cancer, of course.

North Carolina could ban Tesla from selling its cars if a bill designed to eliminate "unfair competition" becomes law.

    'lectric cars are witchcraft.

I'd be surprised if only NC did this

Oil industry is heavily subsidized by the government but the Electric cars are the ones who are committing unfair competition?

    Does not compute.

I didn't mean to imply literally 87 out of 100 people got cancer and that's where the number came from, that's just my way of explaining probabilities to people who seem to not grasp how statistics work.

I'm going to respond to you but I'm too busy flogging this kitten right now.
seriously it doesn't seem all that drastic to me oh no she lost some fatty tissue and has to take some hormones she should have jus lived with the risk.

more drastic than like, stop smoking, less bacon sandwiches. It is a drastic measure, which was probably entirely called for.

how long does aioli last in the fridge?

    until you eat it

so it should still be perfect come friday?

    oh yeah

it's basically mayonnaise plus, since garlic has antimicrobial qualities.

now, the recipe you used seemed to call for a lot more egg yolk than i generally use (the egg protein is basically an emulsicant and you don't need much of it) and maybe that would change things.

It did see like a lot to me too. I think I'll use a little less.

I was asking because I really felt like making the aioli today.

last time i made it, i basically made a persillade hybrid. it was garlic, olive oil, parsley, some egg white and just enough water to make a suspension. i used a wand blender and it was easy as pie. it lasted in the fridge for like a year.

The "unfair competition" they're complaining about is the fact that Tesla doesn't have any 3rd party dealers. It's apparently a big deal to people like the NADA, so it isn't just a "wharbl gharbl oil" thing.

North Carolina has no significant oil industry, but some really powerful car dealers.

Robert Glaser, president of the dealers association, told the News & Observer that the law prohibiting Tesla sales isn’t just about his industry’s self-interest. Pointing to the Tesla representatives at a recent hearing, he said, “You tell me they’re gonna support the little leagues and the YMCA?”

Holy crap this is incredibly transparent as an expression of baptists and bootleggers

raise your hand if you think the dealer's association hands out all the excess profit from industry protection to little leagues and YMCA

Yeah, justify is pretty great for anything professional or academic.

Like he was helping me with my statement of purpose to grad school, and as a quick note in a text message literally as I was getting ready to submit the online app, he says, "Oh yeah, and justify it."
