we know enough not to do that
and anyway care has to be taken to speak about someone when they're around even if they don't know the language at all
Why not? Afraid it'll turn out they actually do speak Norwegian?
If I was bilingual I'd do that shit all the time.
What do you call someone who speaks two languages? Bi-lingual.
What do you call someone who speaks one language? An American.
and anyway care has to be taken to speak about someone when they're around even if they don't know the language at all
okay then I don't know anything at all about jobs here that could help you.
But why were they jacking off, though
I'd hardly call what you lot speak language.

a bit of a breather from the day?
only because you're not bilingual! it's not that easy!
no, still sounds like jerkin' it.
it reduces stress? Releases endorphins?
Lowers blood pressure?

If I wanted to be bilingual, I would've grown up in a country that doesn't speak the best language.
I'm actually moderately fluent in French, but I haven't used it in years so I'm super rusty. I learned it in school and read enough French stuff that I was at least conversationally fluent. Since I picked up most of it through reading, though, my pronunciation was awful.
Eh, that'd really narrow down the list of awesome places to go for a rather moot issue; people in the Netherlands speak a surprisingly high amount of English per capita and there politics are one of my favored globally. I also appreciate some aspects of French and German industrialization/welfare programs. Their xenophobia and austerity and inherent Nieztsche superiority/entitlement issues make them less ideal. Kinda like how the Isle of Man is superior to Ireland despite very similar politics.
Nuke England.
@Kagera It's ok, you had no idea! I just hear it all the time from every corner and it's wearying. But I genuinely am touched by this heartfelt apology
And now for your regularly scheduled inappropriate and awkward response that I and only I am permitted to make:
This is my life.
i...

I want to learn as many languages as I can.
What about quarter-lingual
I'm murikan and I can curse a lot in another language
so that has to count for something
suits me!

I know just enough Mandarin Vietnamese, Korean and Spanish to know when I should be weary of situations/am getting cheated. I wish I could really GET more languages, though. I can pick up phrases and just need to go for the saturation approach after some hardcore study. Mandarin is on my list to really make an effort at before I travel anywhere near the continent.
quarter-lingual would be speaking a fourth of one language
so, like, a baby

It's more of a pidgin dialect of the Queen's English and obesity.

Oh I appreciate the thought. If my girlfriend gets her way and we can make a trip out that way,I'll have to shoot you a pm about the must see stuff. The big things for me is just where the money's at, what's fun t do/good to eat, and where I can go to be with good honest friendly people just trying to have a good time. We love beer garden style stuff and just relaxed atmospheres.
Business wise, tax stuff and where gambling is (which I've heard isn't a strong point, but that's to be expected wit h some aspect s of the culture, right?)
I forgot that he had this mug
